Gotcha Econo-Covered!

ok. i used century gothic on the back for better readability. However i'm tweaking the spacing still because it looks like ass to me. Another problem is that now i don't have Hattenschweiller back there...i'm thinking i could put a quoted review or something?

for the global economics book, i chose coins because the Euro is clearly marked and the circles are reminiscent of the globe.

Can you not use Hattenschweiller for the back body text? Does it look weird?

Overall design looks great. However, you have major tracking issues with the back cover copy. I feel for you though, because trying to justify something is a bi@$h! I don't know how to fix it easily. And little detail, I don't think you have the logo lined up with the box on the back cover.

Yeah, I agree the back needs some help with the justifying. Add some text, edit some out; just do whatever you need to make it look better. There isn't an editor breathing down your neck telling you that certain words have to be in there. Just change it up a little. Remember, it's YOUR book.

The text on the back definitely needs some help. Trying to align it so that its filled in a box with no rag creates these really awkward spaces between words. The logo on the back, I think should be seperated from the text box. Other than that I think they look really good.

Very nice Miss Mindy! Did you try moving the "Economics" on each of the titles down so that they are flush with the top of the picture? It might make it a little easier to read. Also, I can't remember if there was a specific reasoning for using that particular serif on the title, but you might think about using a different one.

yeah this look great! i agree with the back as well but i know how hard it is to do. the only thing i have to say that hasn't been said is that for some reason the block of text going over GW's eye on the last one is a little uncomfortable. maybe move it up just a bit.

Don't worry Mindaaaayyyyyyyy These most certainly do not look like ass! I like the variety in types of money- I was worried ole George Washington would get beat into the ground. But hellfire, look, he didn't!

Good job Mindy.
But yes, justification issues with the type on the back.

You should look into a different typeface for the back. The century gothic, because of the large x-height, is actually not very readable. You could try a classical serif type. Reducing the type size would help.
Also, take a look at the illustrations, they look a little "live-tracey." You could also get the high-contrast look with photoshop.
