Your covers are so funny I feel like you need something else on the back. Good idea to go black and white on the pictures. They look really good in ebony and ivory. The falling text on the side I assume is the jacket, but I don't think you need it.
I agree with Steph about the falling text. Also, did you think about handwriting "Cheers" on the back like you did on the front? that might be a nice way of tying the front & back together. Other than that, they look great!
I would maybe try something else with the author's name instead of the black box. It kind of takes the attention away from the rest of the cover. I also don't really get why the text on the flap is why it is. I would just make sure you have a reason for doing it that way.
Continue to work on the "Intro to" title in the box, it should be more prominent - I would go back to the Engravers type you were using before. You should also work on making the spine more interesting. I agree with the comments that you need to improve the back cover. Repeating the cover image, or similar imagery could help.
